Dr. Amanda Sanchez is a seasoned executive and transformational leader with deep expertise in organizational strategy, operational excellence, and people-centered leadership. She currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of Tigua Inc., where she oversees enterprise-wide operations, drives organizational efficiency, and leads strategic initiatives that support sustainable growth across multiple business lines.
Throughout her tenure at Tigua, Dr. Sanchez has held progressively senior leadership roles, including Director of Corporate Development and Senior Director of Operations. In these positions, she was instrumental in managing complex federal contracts, strengthening performance management frameworks, implementing career-progression and workforce-development programs, and aligning operational execution with long-term strategic goals. Her leadership has consistently delivered streamlined processes, improved accountability, and stronger organizational outcomes while fostering a culture rooted in trust, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Prior to joining Tigua Inc., Dr. Sanchez built a diverse leadership portfolio across corporate, nonprofit, and workforce-development environments. In these other roles, she designed and implemented enterprise-level training and leadership-development initiatives that elevated workforce capability and performance. Earlier in her career, she also worked to support individuals with disabilities in securing meaningful employment and long-term career success.
Dr. Sanchez is equally committed to education and leadership development. She currently works as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Maryland Global Campus, and previously at the University of Phoenix and Park University, where she shared real-world leadership insights with adult learners and emerging professionals.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English & American Literature from The University of Texas at El Paso, a Master of Arts in English from Sul Ross State University, and a Doctor of Management with a focus on Leadership Development from the University of Phoenix.
Beyond her professional work, Dr. Sanchez is deeply engaged in community leadership and service. She currently serves as President of Family Service of El Paso and has held board roles with The El Paso Coalition for the Homeless, The Borderland Rainbow Center, and The El Paso Center for Children. Through these efforts, she remains a strong advocate for initiatives that strengthen families, communities, and opportunity.
